Volunteers Testimonies

“I volunteer with Fetch + Releash because I am truly blessed that so much joy, happiness, love, unity and passion comes from volunteering. I have had the absolute pleasure to be involved in so many different aspects of the dog rescue world; mission trips, events, intakes, dog sitting, fostering, airport pickups, fundraising, etc and the best part is, I got to meet some amazing people (and dogs, duh) along the way.⁣

The truth about volunteering is you will never find a better atmosphere than when you’re with volunteers, why? Because they all want to be there! To everyone I have met this past year, thank you. You will never know how much your kindness means to me.”

— Chantelle

“I started volunteering with Fetch + Releash in 2016 because I was looking for a way to put my photography degree to good use! I eventually moved into the role of Photography Manager and adopted Fetch + Releash alumni Charlie Brown. This rescue has given me infinitely more than I could ever give back - a wonderful group of volunteers who have become close friends, the most amazing dog in Charles, and a real sense of accomplishment. One of my absolute favourite things is being able to photograph our new Canadian pups with their foster-to-adopt families at intake. The joy is absolutely contagious! I honestly cannot even put into words how grateful I am to Fetch + Releash for all that they have given me!”

— Tori

“I knew adopting a dog would be a big life change and a huge responsibility. However, I never in a million years could have grasped just how much my life, and myself as a person would change - for the better. Shortly after adopting Pepita, I felt a strong need to give back. My volunteer work with Fetch + Releash has led me to newfound friendships with some of the kindest and hard working women I’m lucky to know and has quickly become a very important and meaningful part of my life. It has made me into a stronger, more motivated, and humble person. I discovered the power of my voice, something I knew was always within me but didn’t know how to bring about, or was too afraid or insecure to do so. Turns out, a passionate and worthy cause was all I was missing……and a three legged companion.”

— Michelle
